Wild Mexico; Hummingbirds, Motmot and More

Mexico is wildly rich in colour and wildlife. Visiting Chiapas in early Spring, trees were adorned with orchids and bromeliads, and birds and butterflies flew amongst them. In this textile collage a Rufous-crowned Motmot is looking with interest at a Mexican Blue-wing butterfly. Azure-crowned Hummingbirds take an interest in orange orchids, as does a Rusty-tipped Page butterfly. In this tropical paradise some plants flower while others fruit and everywhere there is a sense of abundance.
