This collage began as a homage to the glorious stands of Agapanthus that bloom each year among the sand dunes on the Isles of Scilly. The sea between the islands is very shallow, over white sand, creating shades of clear turquoise. This study in blues is given greater intensity in the collage by its contrast to a flight of white butterflies shimmering in the sunlight.
