Sea and rocks
Cornwall is a peninsula reaching out into the Atlantic and so it is ocean that wraps its clear waters around the coast. The land is formed of a great diversity of rock types and these are all exposed to the force of the sea, their patterns and shapes sculpted by the waves. The movement of water translates perfectly into Amanda's textile collages with their light-reflective surfaces formed of silks, satins and velvets. All the fabrics are hand-dyed to create the subtle nuances of colour within the sea.
