Penwith Hedge in Winter

There is never a month of the year in which our hedges are devoid of flowers.  Winter is the season of Gorse.  It grows on top of many hedges in Penwith, serving as trees in this extreme environment of salt laden gales.  All through the bleakest months it glows with brilliant yellow, like beacons of sunlight.

Fellow artist Sara Bevan and I have been commissioned by Penwith Landscape Partnership to create a series of artworks recording and celebrating a Cornish Hedge in Penwith, through the four seasons.  These will form part of an exhibition in the summer of 2022 and so are not currently for sale, although I am posting the price so anyone can contact me to express interest in purchasing the artwork after the exhibition.
