Magnolias are the big spectacle of a Cornish Spring, and I have a number in my garden. As our winters warm, some Red Admiral butterflies are staying with us rather than flying south to North Africa. On a warm Spring day the occasional butterfly can be seen sunning itself in my garden. Surely nothing can lift the spirits more.
