freshly pressed apple juice

As my orchard has grown so has the harvest of apples. Many are stored in crates in my garden shed which smells divine, but a large portion of apples are pressed for juice. My brothers built me an apple press and this video shows the processes from apple to glass. The taste of juice pressed from my own apples is so good, it encapsulates the sunshine of summer.

My garden celebrates autumn with grasses and laden apple trees. I have created a textile collage that is an exuberant expression of this. This very short video gives you a view of both garden and art.

I have completed and delivered Wild Angelica with Moorland Grasses to Cornwall Crafts Association at their Trelissick Gallery for the new exhibition.

This is an autumn of clear, soft sunshine and it is a feeling of this I wish to express in my collage of wild angelica and moorland grasses. The blue sky is filled with scudding clouds above a broad landscape of moorland, giving a feeling of openness and light.

spider's web catching early morning dew

Autumn has come and all the garden is draped with spider's webs, invisible until they catch the dew of early morning. I have been considering if my collage technique can capture their particular qualities or if embroidery and bead-work are the natural routes to take.
