The bones of the apple tree are growing above this Cornish Lane.
Apple blossom on lichened branches for my new collage of a wild apple tree growing beside a Cornish lane.
The Bluebells and Seapinks are opening on the cliffs of Cornwall. A gorgeous carpet of bloom on the ocean's edge. For more details of this collage http://amandarichardsonartist.com/content/bluebells-and-seapinks-treryn-...
'Magnolia with Chaffinches and Long-tailed Tits' is finished. All the garden is full of blossom and song-birds singing, so this seems this seems the perfect moment for such a piece. For more details http://amandarichardsonartist.com/content/magnolia-chaffinches-and-long-...
Inspired by the family of Long-tailed tits that visited my magnolia 'Merrill', here they are in collage.
One of the loveliest sights in Cornwall is the shallow sea spreading turquoise water over the shell sands of Porthcurno. In early summer the cliffs above are full of flower with foxloves and Oxeye daisies. This is the subject of my latest textile collage http://amandarichardsonartist.com/content/foxgloves-and-oxeye-daisies-po...
There is something irresistible about magenta foxgloves and shallow, turquoise sea. These are the last of my foxgloves from last year, now growing above Porthcurno.
My new collage 'Meadow with Butterflies' all of which have flown into my garden this year. I hope Spring remains kind and warm for them. More information http://amandarichardsonartist.com/content/meadow-butterflies
I have revisited a collage of a damselfly beside a waterfall, adding a richness of wildflowers including the primroses created this week. I had liked the original restraint but this is more in tune with the wild abundance of a Cornish Spring. More details http://amandarichardsonartist.com/content/waterfall-primrose-and-damselfly
The primroses are opening their flowers to welcome this very early Spring. I have some in a pot I have brought into the studio to work from.
